Youth Musicale began in the summer of 1973 with one touring groups of senior high school students.  Since that time, the tour has been on the road nearly every July.  Youth Musicale is a music oriented mission which gives students an opportunity to use their musical gifts to reach others with the message of Jesus. 

Early each year (April), participants are chosen by audition for the following summer's tour.  Youth prepare for tour by attending a pre-camp rehearsal and then a 4 day rehearsal camp right before the tour begins.  Each year, staff volunteer in many areas including music direction, spiritual life, counseling, transportation, technical support, just to name a few.

Any youth who will be entering 9th-12th grade the following fall may audition, along with students are currently in the 12th grade.  Youth come from all over the state of Ohio (and sometimes beyond) and come from all denominational backgrounds.  Auditions involve two main parts:  a vocal audition and a one-on-one interview about their relationship with Christ.

Youth Musicale is more than a camp.  It is a mission project.  Youth will learn about reaching out to others, sacrificing of themselves, and working together as a team for the cause of Christ.  In addition to the outreach to others, youth also experience personal spiritual growth through Bible studies, prayer, small groups, and preparing testimonies to share.
